Join our team as a Building Maintenance Technician Trainee — no experience required, just a real interest in fixing things and learning new skills. You’ll be part of the crew that keeps the building running smoothly, from light fixtures to water systems. From day one, you’ll be part of a team that repairs, inspects, and maintains everything from lights to locks. Early responsibilities include resetting breakers, replacing light bulbs, and learning how to handle basic tools. You’ll start to understand how heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical components are maintained day to day. You’ll gain insight into plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general upkeep — all in real-life settings. You’ll walk through hallways, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and maintenance closets — no two days will look the same. Expect to get your hands dirty — fixing leaky faucets, replacing tiles, and making sure everything works as it should. Plumbing, electrical, painting, locks — you’ll get a taste of everything as you explore the trade.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use ladders, lifts, and scaffolding safely to access and maintain elevated systems or fixtures.
• Work independently or as part of a facility team to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Help manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies—ordering replacements or notifying supervisors when stock is low.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance history and equipment condition for inspections and audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve building energy efficiency, safety, or space functionality and report them to management.

Preferred:

• Able to inspect and troubleshoot issues with lighting, locks, doors, restrooms, or appliances.
• Familiar with basic building codes, fire safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Can interact professionally with tenants, office staff, or building managers.
• Experience performing routine maintenance tasks in commercial, residential, or industrial buildings.
• Capable of maintaining logs of inspections, repairs, and parts used in daily operations.
