Description:

We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist to restore high-end and designer footwear — ideal for someone who values precision, discretion, and the art of premium craftsmanship. You’ll handle walk-in repairs from customers looking for quick fixes, custom upgrades, and same-day results. You’ll assist in restoring fine leather, suede, patent, and exotic skins using brand-appropriate techniques and restoration products. You’ll replace heels, re-glue soles, stitch torn uppers, and polish shoes while customers browse or shop nearby. You’ll assess each shoe quickly and explain repair options clearly, offering honest timelines and pricing. You’ll help log repairs via tablet, issue digital receipts, and track pick-up/drop-off details through the mobile dispatch system. You’ll operate grinders, finishers, hand tools, and glue presses with speed, precision, and proper safety. You’ll assist with stitching repairs around toe boxes and collars that see frequent flex and impact. You’ll support repair of matching accessories like leather bags, wallets, or belts using small-scale restoration tools.

Basic Qualifications:

• Order and restock supplies like soles, nails, glue, thread, and polish as needed.
• Explain what’s repairable and what’s not, managing expectations with honesty and professionalism.
• Provide friendly customer service, answering questions and offering care advice for different shoe types.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and keep tools in good working condition.
• Stretch tight shoes or adjust fit based on customer needs and material limitations.

Preferred:

• Experience repairing and restoring footwear including soles, heels, zippers, insoles, and stitching.
• Willing to maintain a tidy, professional workspace and uphold safety standards.
• Enjoys giving new life to worn items and preserving the quality of well-loved footwear.
• Open to experimenting with modern adhesives, repair materials, or eco-friendly solutions.
• Willing to handle handbag, belt, or leather accessory repairs if required by the shop.
