Description:

We’re hiring a skilled Podcast Editor to join our team and ensure our podcast episodes are polished and ready for release. You’ll be responsible for editing raw podcast audio, including cutting, mixing, and improving sound quality to produce polished final episodes. You’ll collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to ensure the final product meets the vision and tone of each episode. You’ll add music, sound effects, and transitions to enhance the listener’s experience, ensuring the content is both engaging and professional. You’ll work with audio editing tools to improve pacing, remove filler words, and adjust volume levels for clarity and consistency. You’ll ensure that all podcast episodes are well-paced, removing filler words and unnecessary segments to keep the content flowing. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to incorporate feedback, ensuring that each episode aligns with the overall vision of the podcast. You’ll assist in creating promotional snippets, teasers, or audiograms to promote episodes across social media and other platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate asynchronously with remote teams, using tools like Google Drive, Trello, Notion, or Slack to track progress and notes.
• Perform quality control checks before publishing to catch issues like echo, misalignment, or missing segments.
• Respect NDAs and privacy when working with unreleased or sensitive content.
• Create audiograms, teaser clips, or social media snippets from full episodes using tools like Headliner, Descript, or Adobe Audition.
• Keep up with trends in podcast production, editing software, audio storytelling, and monetization strategies.

Preferred:

• Values clarity, warmth, and emotional impact in audio experiences.
• Enjoys shaping raw conversations into polished, engaging stories.
• Open to batch editing multiple episodes ahead of publishing schedule.
• Capable of handling fast turnarounds when needed without sacrificing quality.
• Willing to give creative input on improving audio quality, structure, or listener engagement.
