Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Discord Moderator to join our team and help manage our growing online community. You’ll be responsible for monitoring chat activity, ensuring users are following the community guidelines and fostering healthy discussions. You’ll help resolve conflicts, mediate disputes, and ensure that members feel comfortable engaging within the community. You’ll assist in creating and enforcing server rules, ensuring that every member understands and adheres to the guidelines. You’ll help organize and moderate community events, ensuring engagement and participation from all members. You’ll assist in creating and enforcing server rules and guidelines to ensure a safe space for all members. You’ll collaborate with the community management team to gather feedback, track trends, and suggest improvements for the community experience. You’ll assist with new member onboarding, providing guidance and information about server rules and resources.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use slowmode, lockdowns, or channel-specific permissions when needed to control chaos during raids or drama.
• Participate in mod meetings, contribute to rule updates, and stay aligned with the overall tone and goals of the community.
• Be available during assigned shifts or check-ins to ensure consistent moderation coverage across time zones.
• Be adaptable—what works in one server or phase of growth might not in another.
• Ultimately, help make the server a safe, fun, and thriving place where people want to return—not just visit.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in online communities, gaming, education, or fan spaces.
• Can quickly learn server rules and help ensure others understand them too.
• Familiar with Discord and actively participates in servers as a community member.
• Excited to grow into more responsibility as they gain experience.
• Interested in helping organize server activities or events to keep the community engaged.

You’ll stay up-to-date with trends and updates within Discord, implementing new features and tools to enhance the community experience. You’ll ensure that members are welcomed and have access to the resources and support they need to thrive within the community. This remote position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to an exciting online environment.
