You’re the type who enjoys the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a website running smoothly — whether it’s updating pages, formatting blog posts, managing menus, or troubleshooting layout quirks. Whether it’s formatting blog posts, adjusting page layouts, or keeping themes and plugins up to date, you bring structure and consistency to the chaos. You’re comfortable handling basic customizations with HTML and CSS, and you’re not afraid to dive into a plugin’s settings to get things just right. You know the importance of clean formatting, image optimization, and mobile responsiveness, and you have a good eye for catching small mistakes that others miss. You don’t need to be a full-stack developer, but you understand the basics of how WordPress runs — and when to Google the rest.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay familiar with popular themes and plugins, and learn when to use what based on project needs.
• Monitor site speed and help implement optimizations like lazy loading, minified assets, and caching strategies.
• Keep the media library clean by compressing, labeling, and organizing image files for performance and accessibility.
• Stay proactive about flagging potential issues or suggesting UX improvements based on user behavior.
• Assist in creating landing pages or blog layouts that are responsive and match branding guidelines.

Preferred:

• Familiar with simple HTML/CSS edits or willing to learn through guided tasks.
• Interested in learning about WordPress performance, caching, and site speed.
• Excited to grow into roles like WordPress Developer, Content Manager, or Website Administrator.
• Willing to ask questions when stuck and take initiative to solve minor issues.
• Background or strong interest in web design, digital marketing, or content management.
