Description:

We’re hiring a UX/UI Designer Trainee to help build and maintain design systems — no experience needed, just precision, structure, and an eye for consistency. You’ll work alongside product designers and researchers to understand real user behavior and turn insights into better interfaces. We’ll teach you how to design clean, intuitive mobile flows that guide users without confusion or clutter. You’ll help create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and simple prototypes to test ideas quickly and improve clarity with each version. Expect to work on small features first: buttons, navbars, cards, modals — learning how everything fits into a design system. We’ll show you how to give your work rhythm and hierarchy — using spacing, contrast, typography, and alignment like a designer, not a decorator. Expect to help with low-fidelity wireframes, simple prototypes, and testing ideas before polishing pixels. You’ll also contribute to building usage guidelines, example layouts, and internal resources that improve speed and clarity for everyone. We’ll help you connect research to UI: how to go from “this is confusing” to “here’s how we can fix it.

Basic Qualifications:

• Create responsive layouts that work beautifully across different screen sizes and devices.
• Be open to scrapping work if testing shows it’s not working—iteration is part of the job.
• Be the champion of user-centered design on your team—question assumptions, push for clarity.
• Gather and interpret feedback from users, team members, and stakeholders without losing your design vision.
• Work closely with developers to ensure designs translate well in code—ask questions, share specs.

Preferred:

• Comfortable conducting usability tests and iterating designs based on feedback and analytics.
• Can maintain and contribute to a design system for consistency across products and platforms.
• Organized with version control, naming conventions, and design file structure for smooth handoffs.
• Open to user interviews, surveys, or journey mapping to better understand pain points.
• Proficient in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch with experience creating user interfaces and interactive prototypes.
