Description:
We’re hiring a Loader Trainee who’s ready to build strength, coordination, and attention to detail while supporting daily warehouse and logistics operations. You’ll assist with loading and unloading containers from trucks and ships, learning how port operations run 24/7. You’ll be trained to identify container numbers, cargo types, and load plans to ensure everything moves according to schedule. You’ll help with strapping, bracing, and securing shipments inside containers using safety-approved methods. You’ll be trained to stack, cover, and secure materials to protect them from weather or accidental damage. You’ll learn how to follow FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation, helping prevent food waste and inventory loss. You’ll be taught how to handle oversized or non-standard freight using special tools, pallets, or lifting aids. You’ll be taught how to use pallet jacks, floor scales, and scanners to manage goods quickly and accurately. You’ll clean and sanitize loading areas regularly to meet hygiene and food safety standards.
Basic Qualifications:
- Follow weight limits and stacking guidelines to ensure safe and balanced loads.
- Stack items efficiently and securely to prevent shifting or falling during transport.
- Label and organize items correctly before they are loaded for shipping or storage.
- Assist in wrapping pallets or securing loads with straps, shrink wrap, or other materials.
- Help maintain equipment used in loading and notify maintenance of any malfunctions.
Preferred:
- Wants to grow into roles like Forklift Operator, Loading Supervisor, or Dock Coordinator.
- Able to load goods into trucks, containers, or pallets efficiently and securely to avoid damage in transit.
- Able to help set up staging areas, maintain clear aisles, and support cleanup after loading tasks.
- Experience working in warehouses, shipping yards, or delivery services involving manual loading and unloading tasks.
- Values hard work, reliability, and accuracy in physically demanding roles.
Benefits:
- Regular team check-ins so you’re never left guessing what’s next.
- Paid breaks, hot coffee, and cold water always available.
- Start early, finish strong — get your evenings back.
- Daily sense of accomplishment — you’ll see the results of your effort instantly.
- Feedback that helps you grow — not just criticism, but real support.
You’ll assist in separating damaged or spoiled products and reporting them to the shift lead. You’ll be part of a small, reliable team where communication, mutual support, and precision are key. You’ll assist in moving bulky or fragile items using team lifts or equipment under supervision. You’ll be surrounded by tradespeople who are willing to teach you what they know — if you show up on time and ready to work. You’ll be expected to follow instructions closely, ask questions when unsure, and stay focused even during repetitive tasks. You’ll be expected to take direction seriously and learn quickly how to work efficiently without cutting corners. This is an ideal role for someone who wants to stay active and help keep fresh products moving through the supply chain. If you’re ready to be part of a team that keeps operations moving while the world rests, we’d love to train you.
