Description:

We’re hiring a Warehouse Clerk Trainee who’s ready to learn how to keep a busy warehouse organized, efficient, and running smoothly from the inside out. You’ll start by helping sort incoming inventory, scanning barcodes, and updating stock levels in the digital system. You’ll learn how to pick items for customer orders using handheld devices and packing slips. You’ll assist in carefully packing products with protective materials and making sure each box is labeled correctly for shipping. You’ll be trained on how to handle sensitive cargo such as live animals, perishables, and dangerous goods with precision and care. You’ll assist with preparing outgoing orders — picking items, packing boxes, and printing shipping labels accurately. You’ll learn how to inspect products for damage, expiration, or mismatch before they’re stored or shipped. You’ll be part of cycle counts, inventory checks, and reporting discrepancies that often go unnoticed during busy hours. You’ll assist in cleaning and sanitizing storage units and workstations to meet food-grade hygiene standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Follow shift schedules, clock in/out properly, and be punctual and dependable.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers, delivery drivers, and team leads to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure packages are sealed, labeled, and ready for shipping or internal distribution.
• Use inventory management systems to log incoming/outgoing goods and update stock levels.
• Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, and record deliveries accurately.

Preferred:

• Familiar with packing requirements for fragile, perishable, or international shipments.
• Comfortable lifting boxes, standing for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Background or interest in logistics, supply chain operations, or inventory management.
• Pays close attention to order accuracy, packaging quality, and proper documentation.
• Can follow written and verbal instructions clearly and complete daily task lists without constant supervision.

You’ll help track packaging supply levels like tape, boxes, and labels — and restock them when running low. You’ll get used to dressing in layers, working in short rotations, and taking warming breaks as needed to stay safe and sharp. You’ll gain exposure to food safety rules, expiry tracking, and first-in-first-out (FIFO) systems used in cold logistics. You’ll move throughout the warehouse, often on your feet, so stamina and attention to detail go hand-in-hand.
