Description:

We’re hiring an Online Course Assistant who’s passionate about smooth learning experiences and loves being the quiet engine behind a successful virtual classroom. In this role, you’ll assist instructors by uploading course materials, scheduling content, sharing announcements, and responding to student questions across email, chat, or forums. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between instructors and learners — organizing course materials, managing discussion boards, responding to student questions, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll respond to student questions via chat, email, or discussion boards, provide helpful reminders about assignments, and assist instructors with uploading content, managing schedules, and tracking engagement. If your idea of satisfaction is seeing a confused learner finally *get it*, you’re exactly who we need. You’re detail-oriented but flexible, tech-savvy but not robotic, and know how to make online spaces feel welcoming. This isn’t a passive support role; we want someone who takes initiative, anticipates problems, and keeps everything running like clockwork. Whether it’s organizing resources, answering FAQs, or ensuring the course flows smoothly from week to week, your work will have a big impact on student success. Communication is your superpower — you know how to write messages that are friendly, clear, and never condescending.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Draft course updates or weekly newsletters to keep students informed and motivated.
  • Keep course resources organized, labeled, and easy to navigate for a smooth learner experience.
  • Help instructors manage course logistics—like uploading materials, updating modules, or managing deadlines.
  • Support students by answering questions in course forums, emails, or chat within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Monitor assignment submissions and send reminders to students who haven’t turned in their work.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with calendar scheduling, reminders, and communication via email or chat.
  • Detail-oriented when checking course materials, links, or scheduling information.
  • Can help organize feedback from students or track their progress and engagement.
  • Able to provide technical support to students with login or access issues.
  • Can proofread or lightly edit content for clarity or grammar as needed.

Benefits:

  • No teaching degree needed — just empathy, communication skills, and Wi-Fi.
  • Access to premium courses and resources — learn while you help others learn.
  • Build a portfolio of experience in education, support, and community building.
  • Your work helps real people grow their careers, businesses, or confidence.
  • Team culture = nerdy, thoughtful, a little chaotic (in a good way).

You’ll help collect feedback, flag what’s working, and quietly suggest fixes when things could be better. We value someone who can work independently, manage their time wisely, and still bring warmth to remote collaboration. If you thrive in systems, love clear communication, and feel satisfaction from helping others succeed — this role was made for you. Let’s make online education better — together, and with purpose. You won’t need a teaching degree, but empathy, organization, and digital fluency are must-haves. We’re looking for someone reliable, resourceful, and kind. If you’re the type who color-codes your Google Calendar and sends follow-ups with emojis — you’ll fit right in. Let’s make online learning feel a little more human, one student at a time.
