Description:

We’re looking for a Pastry Decorator who thrives in a fast-paced environment — someone who can keep quality high while handling volume with efficiency, accuracy, and pride in every detail. You’ll design and execute high-end pastry presentations for weddings, luxury events, VIP clients, and upscale retail displays. You’ll follow client requests and bakery templates, while also adding your personal touch when design freedom is given. You’ll apply consistent piping, frosting, garnishing, and finishing techniques across large batches without losing finesse. You’ll collaborate with the baking team to ensure timing aligns — so each item is decorated fresh and ready for delivery or pickup. We expect you to bring consistency to even the most intricate finishes — piping lace, layering textures, or placing edible pearls with surgical precision. You’ll also prep decorative elements ahead of time, including handmade sugar flowers, custom monograms, and molded accents. You’ll test and refine new design ideas, contributing to seasonal collections and exclusive client offerings. You’ll also guide clients on what’s possible (and what’s not), balancing creative ambition with practical execution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Suggest creative ideas for new pastries or display items to keep offerings visually exciting.
• Repair minor flaws or damages on baked goods quickly and cleanly when needed.
• Collaborate with bakers and kitchen staff to coordinate timing and freshness of decorated items.
• Stay current on trends in pastry art, color palettes, and themed styling.
• Handle delicate materials like sugar flowers or sculpted chocolate with care and precision.

Preferred:

• Can write legible messages on cakes and create sculpted or tiered designs with proper support.
• Capable of communicating with customers or team members to clarify design expectations.
• Knows how to handle delicate decorations, temperature-sensitive ingredients, and storage requirements.
• Able to replicate designs across batches with consistency and quality control.
• Knows how to adapt designs for dietary needs, such as gluten-free or vegan orders.
