Description:

We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee to work with high-strength materials — the kind that require precision, patience, and a respect for every cut you make. You don’t need experience, but you do need to be serious about learning a skill that takes time, focus, and care. You’ll be trained by day-shift machinists first, learning the machines, safety procedures, and how to run production step by step. Once you’re ready, you’ll transition to nights, where your job is to keep parts moving, tools sharp, and tolerances tight. You’ll run CNC equipment during off-hours, with support nearby but not always right next to you — and that trust means something here. You’ll be taught how to listen to the machine, feel vibration through the handles, and know the early signs of tool failure before it ruins the part. You’ll keep logs, follow production documentation, and report any defects or irregularities immediately. You’ll clean and maintain your machine daily — because uptime starts with proper care and attention. You’ll measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and double-check your numbers before moving forward.

Basic Qualifications:

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or CMM equipment to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, or changing coolant to keep machines in proper working condition.
• Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, or cutting speeds as needed to optimize efficiency and maintain tolerances.
• Train or assist junior operators when needed—sharing best practices and helping them build foundational machining skills.
• Set up and operate CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers to produce parts according to technical drawings or blueprints.

Preferred:

• Willing to assist with tool changes, fixture setup, or process improvements.
• Pays close attention to machine sounds and wear signs to detect potential malfunctions early.
• Wants to grow into roles like CNC Programmer, Lead Operator, or Manufacturing Technician.
• Experience operating CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers in a production environment.
• Background or interest in machining, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or industrial tech.
