Description:

We’re hiring an Animator Trainee who’s excited to bring gameplay to life through motion — someone who understands that even a simple walk cycle can say everything about a character’s identity and intent. You’ll assist in creating animations for characters, UI elements, environments, and effects across games, videos, or interactive projects. We’ll teach you core animation principles, frame-by-frame thinking, and how to make motion support narrative and emotion. You’ll study acting principles and learn how to translate emotion into posture, rhythm, and subtle gestures. You’ll collaborate closely with game designers and programmers to make sure animations feel good in players’ hands — not just look good in isolation. You’ll learn how to balance animation length, readability, and reactivity based on gameplay needs. We’ll guide you through character rigs, cycles, transitions, and camera moves that support storytelling and gameplay. You’ll help export animated sequences, organize scene files, and contribute to studio-ready delivery folders. You’ll also assist in preparing export-ready files and organizing animation folders for production handoff.

Basic Qualifications:

• Have fun animating—when you love the motion, it shows in every frame.
• Collaborate with designers, storyboard artists, and developers to bring scenes and interactions to life.
• Prepare clean files with organized layers, rigs, and naming conventions for easy handoff.
• Understand how your animations support storytelling, gameplay, or emotional tone.
• Use tools like After Effects, Spine, Blender, Maya, or Unity depending on project needs.

Preferred:

• Familiar with principles of motion graphics and kinetic typography as a bonus skill.
• Proficient in animation software such as Adobe After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony, Blender, or Maya.
• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Animator, Animation Director, or Technical Animator.
• Enjoys making things come to life through gesture, rhythm, and visual impact.
• Pays attention to details like easing, pacing, and silhouette readability in every frame.
