Description:
We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to support non-emergency and interfacility transport — ideal for someone who wants to build medical experience in a steady, structured setting. You’ll begin by supporting paramedics who respond to farms, villages, and rural roads where time and distance are critical factors. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll be taught how to help establish field care zones, prioritize patients, and support paramedics during mass-casualty triage. You’ll be trained to adapt when resources are limited and hospital access takes 30 minutes or more by road. You’ll observe how to communicate clearly with dispatchers, emergency departments, and other first responders in high-stress environments. You’ll observe how paramedics coordinate with firefighters, police, and emergency command centers in joint response efforts. You’ll learn how to respond calmly to a wide range of situations — from car accidents to cardiac arrests to non-emergency transports. You’ll observe how to maintain calm body language and reassuring tone even when spectators are tense or panicked.
Basic Qualifications:
- Calmly handle incidents ranging from car accidents and heart attacks to overdoses and childbirth.
- Recognize when advanced hospital care is needed and make timely transport decisions.
- Make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations with a calm and focused mindset.
- Stay physically and mentally prepared for long shifts, night work, or back-to-back emergencies.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, hospital staff, and fellow responders to coordinate care.
Preferred:
- Familiar with operating in ambulances, rescue vehicles, and responding to 911 or urgent dispatch calls.
- Familiar with infection control practices, personal protective equipment (PPE), and scene safety assessments.
- Knows how to safely lift and transport patients using stretchers, backboards, and proper body mechanics.
- Comfortable assessing patient conditions, stabilizing trauma cases, and communicating findings to hospital staff.
- Experience providing emergency medical care in high-stress, time-sensitive situations such as accidents or cardiac events.
Benefits:
- You’ll gain the kind of experience that most can only imagine.
- Make a real difference — every shift, every call, every life.
- We celebrate patient saves *and* great CPR scores.
- Overtime is optional, not forced — your health matters too.
- Access to top-tier medical equipment and training — because you deserve the best tools.
You’ll support crew debriefings after calls, helping to reset equipment, clean the vehicle, and prepare for the next response. You’ll learn how to log patient data accurately even under pressure, and how those records affect treatment down the line. You’ll learn how paramedics assess whether a person can remain at the event or needs to be transported to a hospital. You’ll gain exposure to emergency protocols, safety briefings, and chain-of-command structures used in disaster zones. You’ll be part of a public-facing team that protects health and safety while helping the event feel organized and secure. No field experience is required — just grit, humility, and a strong desire to serve under pressure. This internship is perfect for those pursuing emergency medicine, search-and-rescue, or humanitarian response work. If you’re ready to help patients get where they need to be with care and clarity, we’re ready to train you.
