Description:

We’re welcoming a Nanny Intern who’s ready to learn how to care for children with patience, creativity, and responsibility. You’ll start by shadowing experienced caregivers, learning routines, safety practices, and how to handle different age groups. You’ll help with basic care such as feeding, diaper changes, dressing, and guiding children through their daily routines. You’ll help create a calm, stimulating space where children feel encouraged to ask questions and express themselves freely. You’ll be shown how to track small developmental milestones and support physical, social, and cognitive growth. You’ll observe how to introduce tummy time, age-appropriate sensory play, and gentle verbal engagement. You’ll learn how to adapt your tone and approach to different ages — from toddlers to early school-age children. You’ll learn how to manage routines like morning prep, quiet time, bath time, and bedtime with consistency and calm. You’ll be shown how to interact warmly and attentively without overstimulation — letting the child lead in their own way.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay up to date on basic first aid, CPR, and child safety practices.
• Accompany children to and from school, extracurriculars, or playdates as needed.
• Encourage respectful behavior, emotional expression, and social skills through positive guidance.
• Assist with light household tasks related to childcare, like washing bottles or organizing toys.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment, including tidying play areas and washing children’s laundry.

Preferred:

• Trained in first aid, CPR, or willing to obtain certification for emergency preparedness.
• Thrives in home-based, child-centered settings where flexibility and warmth are essential.
• Comfortable preparing nutritious meals and snacks based on the child’s dietary needs or parental guidelines.
• Pays attention to emotional well-being and uses positive discipline methods when necessary.
• Capable of ensuring a safe and clean environment, both indoors and outdoors during supervision.
