Description:

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our team and help improve the quality of our games. You’ll be responsible for testing game features, gameplay mechanics, and other elements to identify issues that affect player experience. You’ll work closely with the development team to document and report any technical issues, ensuring they are fixed before release. You’ll collaborate closely with the development team to report and track bugs, assisting in troubleshooting and prioritizing fixes. You’ll provide feedback on game flow, level design, and user interface, helping to improve the overall gaming experience. You’ll verify the game’s compatibility across different devices and platforms, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for all users. You’ll ensure that all reported bugs are documented clearly, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and other relevant information. You’ll identify and track issues related to crashes, freezes, and other serious bugs that disrupt gameplay.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Test specific game features—menus, multiplayer, achievements, physics, UI/UX—to ensure they function as expected under different scenarios.
  • Balance fun and focus—game testing is playing with purpose, not just playing for fun.
  • Keep organized testing documentation—logs, test plans, and reports—so teams can reference findings quickly and efficiently.
  • Work with version control and development builds, updating test results and tracking changes across versions.
  • Be patient and persistent—some bugs are rare and require repetition or creativity to uncover.

Preferred:

  • Can differentiate between minor annoyances and game-breaking issues.
  • Enjoys helping improve game quality and player experience through structured feedback.
  • Able to test gameplay mechanics, UI, audio, performance, and localization issues.
  • Background or strong interest in game development, QA, or digital product testing.
  • Wants to grow into roles like QA Analyst, Game Designer, or QA Lead.

Benefits:

  • Access to internal dev builds, early content, and unreleased features — welcome to the backstage.
  • Your reports help prevent rage-quits, crashes, and “why is this NPC upside down?” moments.
  • We provide testing builds, bug tracking tools, and clear checklists — but your instincts are the secret weapon.
  • You’ll be trained in QA tools like JIRA, TestRail, and in-game debug consoles.
  • We respect testers — you’re not button mashers, you’re the last line of quality control.

You’ll provide feedback on game difficulty, pacing, and balance, helping to refine gameplay for an optimal experience. You’ll assist in testing multiplayer modes, ensuring connectivity, matchmaking, and overall performance for all players. You’ll participate in playtests and provide valuable input on the overall user experience and enjoyment of the game. You’ll provide detailed reports on your findings, ensuring that developers have all the information needed to resolve issues. You’ll help improve the overall quality of the game by identifying areas that need improvement before launch. You’ll work independently and as part of a team, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to test games from the comfort of your own home. If you’re passionate about gaming, problem-solving, and ensuring that games are ready for release, we’d love to have you on our team.
