We’re seeking a Freelance Resume Writer who can turn dull job descriptions into compelling success stories. You understand that a great resume isn’t just a list of jobs — it’s a marketing tool tailored to each opportunity. You’ll work with clients one-on-one to uncover their accomplishments and frame them in the strongest light. We’re looking for someone who can take raw career info and build a narrative that’s clear, confident, and credible. You understand how to format for readability, keyword optimization, and that all-important professional polish. Your day might start with a senior executive’s CV and end with a student’s first resume — and you can handle both with ease. You’ll organize messy drafts, fill in gaps, and translate job duties into results-oriented language. You understand that a great resume is part psychology, part storytelling, and part formatting wizardry. You’ll offer guidance on structure, keywords, layout, and language that helps resumes stand out in the pile.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be flexible—some clients need hand-holding, others just want polish. Meet them where they are.
• Above all, help people feel confident in how they present themselves—your words help them land opportunities.
• Refine your tone to match the role—from formal for C-level, to dynamic for creatives, to punchy for startups.
• Create templates or process docs to streamline intake, drafts, and delivery as your workload grows.
• Edit and restructure outdated resumes, turning messy job lists into strategic, results-oriented narratives.

Preferred:

• Familiar with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and how to optimize resumes for keyword matching.
• Open to feedback from clients and able to revise drafts collaboratively.
• Wants to help people tell their career story in a strategic and confident way.
• Knows how to write resumes for freelancers, career changers, and recent graduates.
• Pays attention to layout, consistency, and design without overcomplicating visuals.
