Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team and help create high-performance backend systems. You’ll collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain server-side components, APIs, and services. You’ll be involved in writing clean, efficient code using backend technologies such as Node. js, Python, Java, or Ruby, depending on the stack. You’ll assist with database management, ensuring data integrity, and supporting efficient data retrieval for various services. You’ll collaborate with database administrators to maintain and optimize database systems for fast and efficient data access. You’ll collaborate with the team to optimize performance and improve the scalability of our backend infrastructure. You’ll troubleshoot and debug issues, working to improve system performance and resolve bottlenecks. You’ll assist in creating scalable systems, focusing on load balancing, data storage, and efficient communication between services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay up to date with new backend tools, frameworks, and best practices to sharpen your skills over time.
• Ask questions and seek mentorship when stuck—backend development can be complex, but learning fast matters more than knowing everything.
• Monitor logs and system metrics to help identify performance bottlenecks, errors, or unusual behavior.
• Be responsible for the parts of the system you touch—think through edge cases, test thoroughly, and aim for long-term maintainability.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and fixing bugs in backend services, logging issues and applying patches.

Preferred:

• Understands the concept of middleware, request/response lifecycle, and HTTP status codes.
• Has a GitHub profile with projects showing API, server, or database work.
• Familiar with Express.js, Django, Flask, or Spring Boot for building server applications.
• Open to feedback, pair programming, and continuous learning from senior developers.
• Has created personal or academic projects involving backend logic or API development.

You’ll be exposed to CI/CD pipelines, learning how to automate testing and deployment for better development efficiency. You’ll learn best practices for designing and building scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems that handle high loads.
