Description:

We’re looking for an Instagram Reels Editor who lives and breathes short-form content. This role isn’t about simply cutting clips together — it’s about crafting dynamic, engaging videos that capture attention and keep it. You’ll be responsible for filming, editing, and creating engaging Reels that capture attention in the first few seconds and keep it until the very end. You’ll be working with everything from raw footage to brand new ideas, transforming them into dynamic, fun, and shareable videos. You should have a deep understanding of what works on Instagram and know how to capitalize on trending audio, effects, and challenges. We need someone who can work quickly, edit on the fly, and still produce high-quality content that feels both polished and authentic.

Basic Qualifications:

• Help develop recurring content series that can build audience expectations and brand consistency.
• Stay in sync with content calendars, campaigns, and real-time marketing moments.
• Track Reels performance and report weekly insights to improve future edits.
• Repurpose content from longer videos (YouTube, TikTok) into digestible Reels without losing meaning.
• Keep up with Instagram Reels trends, audio memes, and platform updates to ensure content stays relevant.

Preferred:

• Experience editing short-form vertical videos for Instagram or similar platforms.
• Keeps a library of favorite Reels for inspiration and analysis.
• Basic understanding of copyright and using royalty-free or licensed music.
• Has experience syncing subtitles or text effects with spoken audio or lyrics.
• Has a strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling within 30-60 seconds.
