Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for our blood donation center — no experience needed, just enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming attitude. You’ll learn how to perform blood draws in non-clinical environments like patient homes, workplaces, and care facilities. We’ll teach you the proper techniques step by step: vein selection, needle handling, labeling, and safety protocols. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. You’ll learn to collect samples accurately, label them properly, and maintain a strict chain of custody from draw to drop-off. You’ll learn how to work with nervous patients — how to explain, reassure, and help them feel safe in your care. You’ll assist in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings, seeing everything from routine labs to urgent collections. We’ll show you how to handle lab requests, maintain records, and manage your station with professionalism and care. You’ll work alongside night nurses, lab techs, and emergency staff, gaining real experience in hospital operations when the world is quiet.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Verify patient identities and match them to the correct lab orders.
  • Track supplies and ensure your workstation is stocked and clean.
  • Use electronic health records (EHR) systems to update patient info and order statuses.
  • Dispose of needles, gloves, and biohazard waste properly after each draw.
  • Remain calm and gentle, even in busy or high-stress environments.

Preferred:

  • Wants to grow into roles like Lab Technician, Medical Assistant, or Clinical Lab Specialist.
  • Experienced in using collection systems such as vacutainers, butterflies, and syringes.
  • Familiar with proper specimen handling for blood cultures, glucose tests, or coagulation studies.
  • Enjoys working hands-on and supporting diagnostic teams through accurate specimen collection.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high patient volumes and time-sensitive samples.

Benefits:

  • We celebrate good sticks, good attitudes, and good humans.
  • Every day you make a difference — one vial, one patient, one smile at a time.
  • You’ll never be “just the blood person” here — we know what you bring to the table.
  • Be the calm in a nervous moment — your gentle hand and kind voice matter.
  • Paid training and certification support — whether you’re new or leveling up.

Every pint collected goes directly to patients in surgery, cancer care, trauma recovery, or emergency situations — and you’ll help make that possible. Expect solitude, responsibility, and moments when your calm makes all the difference — especially during unexpected emergencies. Some nights will be peaceful, others intense — but you’ll learn how to handle both with grace and growing confidence. We’ll support you as you practice, ask questions, and turn nervousness into skill and pride. You’ll be trusted to treat every home like your own — respectful, clean, efficient, and professional. Every blood sample will help diagnose, protect, and care for a child — and you’ll be part of that from the very first step. You’ll leave every shift knowing you contributed to someone’s care in a quiet but essential way. If you’re ready to learn a skill that’s precise, personal, and always in demand — we’re ready to train you from day one. If you’re ready to turn compassion into action and learn a hands-on role that truly saves lives — we’re ready to welcome you.
