Description:

We’re searching for a Public Relations Trainee who’s ready to learn how to shape narratives, manage brand voice, and build trust through communication — no experience needed, just strong writing instincts and curiosity about media. You’ll help draft media pitches, press releases, and talking points for internal and external use. We’ll train you to spot newsworthy angles, monitor media trends, and time your stories for maximum impact. You’ll help pitch stories to media outlets and learn how to tailor your message for different platforms and audiences. Expect to monitor brand mentions, scan headlines, and flag opportunities or risks in real time. You’ll learn how to write for different formats: newsrooms, blogs, emails, and even Instagram captions — each with their own voice. We’ll guide you in understanding media cycles, deadlines, and what makes a story newsworthy. You’ll assist in competitive research to see how others communicate, and what makes stories resonate. You’ll join content reviews and get hands-on experience editing statements for tone, length, and impact.

Basic Qualifications:

• Act as a spokesperson when needed or prep company leaders for public speaking opportunities.
• Keep a pulse on industry trends, competitor news, and cultural moments that impact messaging.
• Turn complex company updates into human, headline-worthy stories.
• Manage crisis communications by staying calm, strategic, and two steps ahead.
• Coordinate PR efforts with influencer outreach, social media, and branded content teams.

Preferred:

• Able to craft compelling narratives and human-interest angles that generate media interest.
• Experienced in writing for both B2B and B2C audiences depending on brand goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional tone.
• Understands the difference between owned, earned, and paid media, and how to leverage each.
• Can prepare communication briefs and debriefs for post-campaign evaluation.
