Description:

We’re looking for a passionate Game Tester to join our team and help ensure the quality of our games before they reach players. You’ll be responsible for testing a wide range of game features, including gameplay mechanics, levels, multiplayer modes, and more. You’ll play through levels, story modes, multiplayer features, and other in-game elements to find bugs, crashes, and performance issues. You’ll ensure that the game runs smoothly across various platforms, ensuring compatibility and a consistent user experience. You’ll assist in creating test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure the game functions as intended in all scenarios. You’ll verify the game’s compatibility across different devices and platforms, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for all users. You’ll help test new features, patches, and updates, ensuring all changes work properly and do not cause new issues. You’ll assist in performance testing, evaluating the game’s load times, frame rates, and overall performance under different conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be flexible and ready to test different genres, mechanics, or platforms depending on the project.
• Ultimately, help ship high-quality games by ensuring they work, feel good, and don’t crash right before the final boss.
• Work with version control and development builds, updating test results and tracking changes across versions.
• Be patient and persistent—some bugs are rare and require repetition or creativity to uncover.
• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and designers to verify fixes and ensure issues are resolved before release.

Preferred:

• Thrives in a collaborative, detail-driven, and deadline-oriented environment.
• Understands basic testing terminology like test cases, repro steps, and bug severity.
• Knows how to capture screenshots or video clips for bug evidence and reports.
• Can differentiate between minor annoyances and game-breaking issues.
• Can clearly describe how to reproduce issues in written bug reports.
