Description:

We’re looking for a talented Discord Server Designer to build and maintain an organized, engaging, and functional server for our community. You’ll be responsible for structuring and organizing our Discord server, ensuring it’s both functional and aesthetically pleasing. You’ll customize roles, permissions, and categories to match the needs of different user groups within the server. You’ll work closely with community managers to ensure the server is safe, fun, and inclusive for all members. You’ll ensure that each server is organized, clean, and functional while still reflecting the brand’s personality and tone. You’ll ensure that each section of the server serves a clear purpose, creating a space that’s both functional and visually pleasing. You’ll ensure the server is structured for optimal user engagement, keeping it organized and user-friendly at all times. You’ll also create and manage custom bots, integrations, and automations to improve server functionality. You’ll stay up-to-date with Discord’s latest features and experiment with new ways to improve engagement and interactivity.

Basic Qualifications:

• Create intuitive channel layouts, category hierarchies, and naming conventions to guide users and reduce clutter.
• Document the server architecture, role hierarchies, and bot setups for easy maintenance or future handoffs.
• Implement roles, permissions, and access logic that balance security, functionality, and ease of use.
• Set up onboarding flows, welcome messages, and verification systems using bots like MEE6, Carl-bot, or custom scripts.
• Collaborate with community managers, moderators, or content creators to ensure the server serves its purpose—whether it’s social, support, education, or sales.

Preferred:

• Knows how to create onboarding flows using embeds, reaction roles, or select menus.
• Familiar with using third-party integrations like Zapier, Tally forms, or webhook systems.
• Can balance fun and function by integrating game nights, feedback systems, or stage channels.
• Comfortable customizing emojis, server icons, banners, and visual branding elements.
• Wants to build Discord communities that are fun, functional, and future-proof.
