Description:

We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who wants to learn how long-form content like YouTube shows, interviews, and podcasts come together behind the scenes. You’ll assist with editing episodes, formatting timelines, adding lower thirds, and making dialogue feel tighter and cleaner without losing flow. You’ll work with our creative team to support real projects: short-form content, ads, reels, interviews, and brand edits. You’ll learn how to punch in on faces, cut out dead space, and stack visuals to keep the energy high. You’ll learn why pacing matters, how music changes emotion, and what makes a cut feel good — even if the viewer doesn’t know why. You’ll learn how to optimize for different platforms: 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for Insta, 16:9 for YouTube — and why each one needs a different rhythm. You’ll work in Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci — and we’ll teach you how to stay organized when timelines get long. You’ll start by handling rough cuts, sound syncing, and basic formatting — then gradually take on more polished, client-facing edits. You’ll create multiple versions for different platforms — 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for Instagram, you get the idea. You’ll get a crash course in production logic: how to build for reuse, cut down 2 minutes into 15 seconds, and when to *not* add another transition.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prepare multiple versions of a single video for different use cases—trailers, teasers, cutdowns, or language variants.
  • Follow copyright and licensing rules when using music, stock footage, or branded content.
  • Transcode and compress files for upload without compromising visual or audio quality.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions by suggesting creative ways to present content visually.
  • Cut, trim, and arrange clips for clarity and flow—balancing pacing, storytelling, and brand voice across short- and long-form content.

Preferred:

  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
  • Willing to suggest creative edits, cuts, or ideas to improve video flow and viewer retention.
  • Experience adding motion graphics, subtitles, or animated transitions is a plus.
  • Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback in multiple rounds of revisions.
  • Able to follow a creative brief and work within brand guidelines and visual identity.

Benefits:

  • You’ll work on a variety of content: ads, YouTube videos, social reels, trailers, explainers, and more.
  • Work remotely and craft videos that people actually watch — not just scroll past.
  • Access to premium tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, CapCut Pro, Epidemic Sound, and more.
  • Async-first culture — work at your pace, get feedback clearly, and focus without constant meetings.
  • Your feedback is welcomed on everything from music to script pacing to captioning strategy.

You’ll be editing with templates, but also encouraged to go freestyle when the concept calls for originality or experimentation. You’ll join internal reviews, listen to feedback on other editors’ work, and absorb what makes a cut engaging in the first 3 seconds. You’ll see how podcasts and YouTube channels are built consistently — week after week — and why systems matter as much as creativity. You’ll assist senior editors and eventually take full ownership of smaller edits from start to finish. You’ll grow your technical skills and your storytelling chops — because both matter when turning clips into real content. You’ll learn from editors who’ve hit millions of views, and start building your own instinct for viral potential. If you love timelines, tight cuts, and the thrill of making a video *feel* right — this is your editing playground. If you love timelines longer than 10 minutes, storytelling through pacing, and fixing “we’ll edit this later” moments — this internship is for you. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
