Description:

We’re offering a Nanny Internship for someone passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive, playful environment. You’ll assist in building daily routines that include learning moments — whether through storytelling, creative play, or exploring nature. You’ll help with everything from preparing meals and snacks to setting up playtime or organizing backpacks. You’ll assist in organizing indoor and outdoor play activities that are both fun and age-appropriate. You’ll assist with homework for older kids while keeping younger siblings safely entertained nearby. You’ll be trained on how to respond to tantrums, separation anxiety, and sibling disagreements with patience and structure. You’ll support toddler transitions from crawling to walking, bottle to cup, and help encourage new skills step by step. You’ll be responsible for tidying play areas, cleaning up after activities, and helping maintain an organized environment. You’ll gain experience balancing active play with quiet time, helping children transition smoothly between activities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Read books, play games, and offer creative outlets like arts and crafts or music time.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support development, creativity, and learning.
• Follow daily routines such as nap times, feeding schedules, and hygiene tasks.
• Change diapers, assist with potty training, and teach basic hygiene and self-care skills.
• Be flexible—children are unpredictable, and plans often change on the fly.

Preferred:

• Pays attention to emotional well-being and uses positive discipline methods when necessary.
• Capable of maintaining a log or summary of daily activities for parental review.
• Able to follow daily routines including feeding, naps, diaper changes, and playtime activities.
• Values empathy, patience, and trustworthiness in every interaction with children.
• Comfortable with light housekeeping related to the child, including laundry, tidying play areas, and dishwashing.
