Description:

We’re hiring a Security Guard Trainee for a shopping mall environment — perfect for someone who’s observant, approachable, and ready to keep public spaces safe and orderly. You’ll begin by learning patrol routes throughout the mall, including entrances, exits, service corridors, and emergency exits. You’ll be trained to monitor crowds, identify suspicious behavior, and respond calmly to incidents without escalating tension. You’ll assist in checking security cameras, reporting maintenance issues, and helping prevent theft or vandalism. You’ll learn how to write clear, concise reports on minor incidents, daily activity, and any safety concerns. You’ll learn how to recognize signs of unauthorized entry, property damage, or suspicious activity and report them promptly. You’ll help document shift reports, including building status, visitor logs, and any maintenance issues you observe during rounds. You’ll assist in crowd control, helping maintain order during events, busy periods, or emergencies. You’ll wear a clean, visible uniform and carry communication tools like a radio or flashlight during all patrols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Write clear incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs.
• Wear and maintain proper uniform and identification at all times during your shift.
• Enforce company policies regarding restricted areas, visitor conduct, or safety regulations.
• Follow post orders and shift instructions with attention to detail and accountability.
• Escort employees, visitors, or deliveries to and from buildings when security is requested.

Preferred:

• Understands the balance between enforcing rules and maintaining a calm, welcoming presence.
• Capable of collaborating with law enforcement or emergency responders when needed.
• Familiar with handling basic emergencies such as medical issues, fire alarms, or evacuation drills.
• Comfortable writing shift reports, incident logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors or emergency services.
• Organized with shift handovers, key logs, visitor logs, and equipment tracking.
