Description:

We’re hiring a Security System Installer Trainee who’s excited about smart homes, automation, and making technology work for safety. You’ll ride along with trained techs, visiting homes, offices, warehouses, and retail stores to help install real security systems. You’ll start by assisting on real installations: unboxing smart devices, organizing cables, and prepping work areas. We’ll teach you how to install motion sensors, door contacts, surveillance cameras, and smart locks step by step. We’ll train you to handle sensors, cameras, control panels, and backup systems that silently stand guard 24/7. This job isn’t flashy, but it’s deeply important — done right, no one notices; done wrong, someone feels unsafe. Expect to use drills, testers, crimping tools, cable fishers, and mobile tablets as part of your daily work. You’ll work in homes and businesses, learning how to adapt installations to different layouts and client needs. Each day will build your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence working with your hands.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide maintenance and upgrades when systems need a refresh or add-ons.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and make quick adjustments as needed.
• Coordinate with clients to schedule installation times that work for them.
• Install security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarm panels in homes and businesses.
• Review blueprints or client needs to determine the best placement for devices.

Preferred:

• Able to document completed installations with photos, checklists, and client sign-off forms.
• Familiar with running cables, mounting cameras, setting up DVR/NVR systems, and testing sensors.
• Willing to travel to job sites and manage multiple installs per week with minimal supervision.
• Experience installing and configuring security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and motion detectors.
• Comfortable reading blueprints, technical diagrams, or installation manuals to determine optimal device placement.
