We’ll train you on how buildings actually work — from electrical panels to boiler rooms, and everything in between. From day one, you’ll be part of a team that repairs, inspects, and maintains everything from lights to locks. Early responsibilities include resetting breakers, replacing light bulbs, and learning how to handle basic tools. You’ll learn how to safely work with electricity, water systems, ventilation units, and even elevators. You’ll gain insight into plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general upkeep — all in real-life settings. You’ll walk through hallways, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and maintenance closets — no two days will look the same. We’ll guide you in creating maintenance checklists, reporting issues, and keeping detailed logs of your work. You’ll work in different parts of the building, from stairwells to service rooms to rooftops — gaining a full perspective.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure compliance with local safety codes, OSHA standards, and company maintenance protocols.
• Maintain common areas, restrooms, stairwells, and mechanical rooms in clean, safe, and working condition.
• Respond to service requests for minor repairs, fixture replacements, leaks, clogs, or general building upkeep.
• Help manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies—ordering replacements or notifying supervisors when stock is low.
• Work independently or as part of a facility team to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

• Background or interest in facility operations, maintenance trades, or mechanical systems.
• Familiar with basic building codes, fire safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
• Pays close attention to safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
• Can interact professionally with tenants, office staff, or building managers.
• Familiar with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
