Join our team as a Building Maintenance Technician Trainee — no experience required, just a real interest in fixing things and learning new skills. You don’t need a toolbox or experience — just show up ready to listen, work, and improve every day. We’ll train you from the ground up — showing you how to safely use tools, read maintenance logs, and follow procedures. You’ll begin by shadowing experienced maintenance staff and learning the basics of building systems. From changing lightbulbs to checking HVAC filters, you’ll start with small but essential tasks. You’ll discover how heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems work together in real time. You’ll learn how to report issues, follow up on open tickets, and stay on top of routine inspections. We’ll train you to be proactive — knowing when to tighten a bolt or report a weird noise. You’ll use checklists to make sure nothing gets missed, and over time, you’ll know those lists by heart.

Basic Qualifications:

• Respond to service requests for minor repairs, fixture replacements, leaks, clogs, or general building upkeep.
• Update logs and work orders using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track activity and parts used.
• Perform light plumbing repairs such as fixing faucets, toilets, or drain blockages without needing a licensed plumber.
• Work with hand and power tools to complete tasks like patching drywall, painting, changing light bulbs, or repairing door hardware.
• Support HVAC troubleshooting by checking thermostats, filters, belts, and air handling systems.

Preferred:

• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and completing visible, meaningful repairs.
• Comfortable using hand tools, ladders, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Organized with tracking maintenance schedules, supply inventory, and work assignments.
• Able to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues.
• Capable of maintaining logs of inspections, repairs, and parts used in daily operations.
