Description:

We’re hiring a Plumber Trainee to assist with emergency plumbing services — perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, learns fast, and wants to make a real difference when problems strike. You’ll begin by shadowing licensed plumbers on residential and commercial jobs, learning how to work safely and efficiently on-site. You’ll assist with draining systems, flushing lines, and bleeding radiators to remove air and ensure even heating. You’ll be trained to identify basic plumbing components like pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures. You’ll learn how to safely open walls, access crawl spaces, and locate hidden problems using moisture detectors and tools. You’ll learn how to handle tenant requests respectfully and communicate updates to building managers or supervisors. You’ll be taught to use tools like pipe cutters, torches, augers, wrenches, and pressure testers with safety and care. You’ll assist in installing shutoff valves, cleanouts, and other code-required components at proper intervals. You’ll assist in working within service rooms, crawlspaces, and vertical shafts to maintain central plumbing infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adapt quickly when unexpected issues arise mid-job and offer practical solutions.
• Wear protective gear and use ladders, scaffolding, or trenching tools when required.
• Stay current with plumbing technologies, eco-friendly systems, and efficient fixtures.
• Uphold cleanliness and professionalism—leave every job site better than you found it.
• Communicate clearly with clients, team members, and suppliers to keep projects on track.

Preferred:

• Willing to work in tight spaces, crawlspaces, basements, or rooftops depending on the job site.
• Thrives in active, tool-based environments where every project presents a new challenge.
• Capable of training or mentoring apprentices or junior plumbers as part of a growing team.
• Proficient in using tools such as pipe cutters, wrenches, threaders, plungers, augers, and soldering equipment.
• Familiar with both residential and commercial plumbing systems including kitchens, bathrooms, and utility lines.
