We’re offering an opportunity to become a Tailor — no experience required, just a passion for clothes, precision, and hands-on work. If you’ve never touched a sewing machine before, don’t worry — we’ll guide you through every stitch. In your first days, you’ll help with simple alterations — fixing zippers, shortening sleeves, and adjusting hems. You’ll learn how different materials behave — from cotton and wool to silk and synthetics. In your first weeks, you’ll help with simple alterations like hemming, adjusting lengths, and reattaching buttons. We’ll teach you how to handle garments with respect, treat customers with sincerity, and let your work speak for itself. We’ll teach you how to read alteration notes, mark clothing correctly, and maintain a clean, organized workspace. You’ll also learn hand-stitching techniques for delicate fixes and invisible seams. You’ll train your eye to see symmetry, your hands to steady under pressure, and your mind to solve quiet problems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay updated on current fashion trends, tailoring techniques, and fabric technologies to offer modern and functional solutions.
• Measure clients accurately using tape measures and fitting techniques to ensure custom garments or alterations fit precisely.
• Track work orders, deadlines, and fittings using logs, client cards, or digital systems to ensure timely delivery.
• Handle minor repairs such as fixing zippers, replacing buttons, patching holes, or re-stitching seams quickly and efficiently.
• Ensure all garments meet quality standards before delivery—your work represents both skill and service.

Preferred:

• Thrives in quiet, detail-focused work environments that allow for creativity and refinement.
• Background or interest in fashion, garment design, costume creation, or textile work.
• Comfortable performing tasks such as hemming, tapering, resizing, and replacing zippers or buttons.
• Able to follow custom instructions or adjust standard patterns to meet individual client needs.
• Willing to create or alter prototypes, samples, or custom design requests when needed.
