Description:

We’re hiring a Plumber Trainee to assist on new construction projects — ideal for someone who’s organized, proactive, and ready to learn how modern plumbing systems are built from the ground up. You’ll begin by shadowing licensed plumbers on residential and commercial jobs, learning how to work safely and efficiently on-site. You’ll assist in cutting, measuring, and fitting PVC, copper, and PEX piping under supervision. You’ll learn how to mark walls and floors for drilling, anchoring, and pipe routing through studs and slabs. You’ll help with simple tasks such as tightening joints, cutting pipe, cleaning drains, and removing old hardware. You’ll learn how to test system pressure, check for leaks, and monitor flow using gauges and diagnostic tools. You’ll help log completed work, track parts used, and report larger system issues for escalation. You’ll be taught how to work safely around water damage, slippery surfaces, and potential electrical hazards. You’ll assist in working within service rooms, crawlspaces, and vertical shafts to maintain central plumbing infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• Diagnose issues such as leaks, clogs, low water pressure, or faulty equipment with proper tools.
• Estimate job materials and labor costs for quotes or invoicing purposes.
• Be punctual, reliable, and respectful in clients’ homes or workplaces.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters.
• Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, and HVAC technicians on site projects.

Preferred:

• Licensed or certified plumber with knowledge of local plumbing codes, safety standards, and installation techniques.
• Organized with maintaining work logs, customer service forms, part orders, and billing records.
• Familiar with both residential and commercial plumbing systems including kitchens, bathrooms, and utility lines.
• Capable of performing rough-ins, finishing installations, and pressure tests on pipes and fittings.
• Background or passion in mechanical systems, construction, or hands-on trades.
