Description:

We’re looking for Paramedic Dispatcher Trainees who can stay calm under pressure, think fast, and offer steady guidance through chaos. You’ll be trained to answer emergency calls where every second counts and every word matters. We’ll teach you how to remain steady when voices are shaking, how to ask the right questions, and how to get help moving fast. You’ll learn how to gather critical information fast: location, condition, situation — without missing a beat. You’ll learn to track ambulances in real time, prioritize incoming calls, and dispatch units with speed and precision. Expect to handle calls involving heart attacks, accidents, overdoses, and more — sometimes back to back, sometimes overlapping. You’ll learn to recognize signs of burnout, how to take mental breaks, and how to separate the urgency of a call from your personal peace. You’ll also be taught how to manage your energy, take breaks when needed, and work in a rhythm that protects your well-being. Expect high-stress calls, back-to-back emergencies, and split-second decisions — but also deep pride in what you do.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use dispatch software, radio systems, and maps to route ambulances efficiently.
• Use empathy and clear language to talk with children, elderly callers, or those in shock.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with all caller and patient data.
• Take pride in being the silent but vital link between emergencies and lifesaving care.
• Monitor field unit statuses to ensure timely arrival and patient transport.

Preferred:

• Capable of quickly updating unit statuses, rerouting crews, and documenting outcomes.
• Understands emergency response codes, triage levels, and how to prioritize calls based on severity.
• Experience working in emergency dispatch or call center environments related to healthcare or public safety.
• Background or interest in emergency services, healthcare, dispatch operations, or crisis communication.
• Familiar with HIPAA guidelines and the importance of handling medical information confidentially.
