Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee to assist in rural and remote response units — ideal for someone who wants to learn how emergency care works far from city hospitals and support systems. You’ll assist with setting up first aid stations and prepping mobile response gear before gates open to the public. You’ll shadow experienced paramedics as they patrol venues, staying visible, calm, and ready for any on-site medical need. You’ll be trained to take vital signs, apply basic first aid, and prepare stretchers and backboards for safe patient handling. You’ll support documentation for each patient encounter — from basic care to emergency transports. You’ll observe how to communicate clearly with dispatchers, emergency departments, and other first responders in high-stress environments. You’ll be trained to spot early signs of medical distress in crowds, such as dehydration, intoxication, or anxiety. You’ll learn how to respond calmly to a wide range of situations — from car accidents to cardiac arrests to non-emergency transports. You’ll be trained in basic rescue tools and how to move safely around unstable or dangerous areas under supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

• Report equipment malfunctions or vehicle issues promptly to maintain operational readiness.
• Reassure and support patients and their families in stressful, traumatic, or emotional circumstances.
• Make split-second decisions in high-pressure situations with a calm and focused mindset.
• Respond rapidly to emergency calls and assess the condition of patients at the scene.
• Support disaster relief efforts, mass casualty events, or community outreach programs if required.

Preferred:

• Thrives in unpredictable, high-stakes environments where readiness and skill save lives.
• Willing to work long shifts, overnight rotations, weekends, and holidays as required by emergency response schedules.
• Open to ongoing training, certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS, PHTLS), and continuous professional development.
• Familiar with operating in ambulances, rescue vehicles, and responding to 911 or urgent dispatch calls.
• Organized with inventory checks, medication logs, and vehicle readiness procedures.
