Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for night shifts in a hospital setting — no experience required, just reliability, composure, and a readiness to learn under pressure. You’ll learn how to perform blood draws in non-clinical environments like patient homes, workplaces, and care facilities. We’ll teach you how to prepare the space, engage with families, and explain procedures in kid-friendly language. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. You’ll be trained in infection control, patient identification, and how to make each collection quick, clean, and as comfortable as possible. We’ll guide you through safety protocols, how to handle pediatric tubes and needles, and how to build trust with nervous parents. You’ll often be one of the few people patients see overnight — and your presence can bring comfort during uncertain hours. We’ll train you in infection control, time management, and what to do when things don’t go as planned — like hard-to-find veins or unexpected situations. You’ll develop a quiet confidence: how to knock, introduce yourself, set the tone, and get the job done with care and calm.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Monitor patients for dizziness or fainting and respond quickly if needed.
  • Respond professionally to complaints or discomfort from patients.
  • Communicate clearly if there’s a delay, issue, or retesting requirement.
  • Dispose of needles, gloves, and biohazard waste properly after each draw.
  • Take pride in your role—small vials, big impact on someone’s health.

Preferred:

  • Open to working in outpatient labs, hospitals, mobile units, or long-term care facilities.
  • Willing to assist with daily equipment checks, supply inventory, and quality control logs.
  • Familiar with proper specimen handling for blood cultures, glucose tests, or coagulation studies.
  • Can enter patient and specimen data into electronic medical records or lab systems.
  • Able to follow chain-of-custody procedures for drug screenings or forensic tests.

Benefits:

  • We provide your PPE, lab coat, and equipment — including the good butterfly needles.
  • Positive work culture — music allowed (within reason), jokes encouraged, patients respected.
  • Shift options: mornings, afternoons, or weekends — your life, your choice.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance — because healthcare workers deserve great care too.
  • Be the calm in a nervous moment — your gentle hand and kind voice matter.

Each day you’ll log miles, handle samples, manage appointments, and represent the face of the lab with every patient interaction. You’ll grow fast — learning how to problem-solve, handle pressure, and take pride in doing essential work that’s often unseen. Some nights will be peaceful, others intense — but you’ll learn how to handle both with grace and growing confidence. You’ll gain independence, technical skill, and the ability to think clearly when others are asleep or overwhelmed. This role is ideal for night owls, early risers, students, or anyone who finds peace in steady, purposeful work after dark. You’ll gain both clinical training and the ability to build trust quickly — two skills that will serve you far beyond phlebotomy. You don’t need to be perfect — just committed to learning, showing up, and doing it with heart. If you’re ready to turn care into skill, and learn how to help little ones through big moments — we’re ready to welcome you. If you’re ready to turn compassion into action and learn a hands-on role that truly saves lives — we’re ready to welcome you.
