Description:

We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Discord Server Designer to help us build a thriving, engaged online community. You’ll be responsible for structuring and organizing our Discord server, ensuring it’s both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Your role includes customizing the look and feel of the server, from roles and permissions to server graphics and emojis. Your creativity will shine through in custom server graphics, including banners, emotes, and icons that give the community a unique identity. You’ll integrate bots and other tools to enhance server functionality and automate tasks that make the community run smoothly. You’ll work closely with our community managers to create an environment where members feel welcome and valued. You’ll develop systems for moderating and managing community interactions, keeping things positive and productive. You’ll also create and manage custom bots, integrations, and automations to improve server functionality. You’ll collaborate with moderators to develop guidelines and keep the space respectful and engaging.

Basic Qualifications:

• Create intuitive channel layouts, category hierarchies, and naming conventions to guide users and reduce clutter.
• Design and structure Discord servers that are clean, user-friendly, and aligned with the community’s goals and identity.
• Design event channels, discussion threads, and temporary categories to support seasonal or time-limited activities.
• Set up onboarding flows, welcome messages, and verification systems using bots like MEE6, Carl-bot, or custom scripts.
• Regularly review feedback from users and iterate on the server design to keep it fresh, organized, and engaging.

Preferred:

• Comfortable customizing emojis, server icons, banners, and visual branding elements.
• Keeps up with Discord feature updates and knows how to implement new tools effectively.
• Familiar with using third-party integrations like Zapier, Tally forms, or webhook systems.
• Understands the importance of role hierarchy and permission boundaries.
• Enjoys creating digital spaces that are engaging, inclusive, and easy to navigate.
