Description:

We’re looking for a motivated Translator Trainee to join our team and help bridge the gap between languages in digital environments. You’ll assist in translating interface text: buttons, tooltips, error messages, notifications, and onboarding flows. We’ll teach you how to keep translations short, consistent, and intuitive — so they fit design without losing clarity. You’ll learn the difference between transcription, translation, and localization — and how to adapt meaning for different audiences. ” Expect to translate UI copy, adapt tone for different markets, and avoid wordy phrasing that breaks layouts. You’ll help improve auto-subtitles, edit AI drafts, and make sure translations flow naturally and stay faithful to the original. We’ll guide you through character limits, subtitle rhythm, line breaks, and how to keep things readable on screen. You’ll help test localized builds, report layout bugs caused by translation, and suggest shorter or clearer alternatives. We’ll teach you how to maintain glossaries and translation memories, ensuring consistency across screens and updates.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain a clean, well-organized translation memory and termbase.
• Handle confidential materials with discretion and professionalism.
• Contribute to quality control by reviewing peer translations or providing feedback when asked.
• Proofread and self-check translations before delivery to minimize errors.
• Adapt to new tools, workflows, or topics quickly, even without prior subject matter knowledge.

Preferred:

• Familiar with proofreading workflows and quality assurance standards in the language industry.
• Able to communicate with clients about unclear phrases, terminology, or missing context.
• Thrives in independent, detail-driven environments where communication and clarity matter.
• Fluency in at least two languages, with excellent grammar, spelling, and cultural understanding in both.
• Wants to grow into roles like Localization Specialist, Copy Editor, or Multilingual Content Manager.
