Description:

We’re looking for a Pastry Decorator who turns desserts into works of art — someone who combines precision, patience, and creativity to make every cake, tart, and pastry visually unforgettable. You’ll be responsible for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and other specialty pastries with consistency, elegance, and creativity. You’ll meet with clients or take detailed briefs to understand exactly what they’re dreaming of, then bring it to life with buttercream, fondant, and artistry. You’ll apply consistent piping, frosting, garnishing, and finishing techniques across large batches without losing finesse. You’ll work with buttercream, ganache, fondant, chocolate, and glaze — knowing when to go bold and when to keep it simple. You’ll also prepare décor elements in advance and ensure all materials are food-safe, fresh, and visually consistent. You’ll also prep ingredients and decorations ahead of time to streamline the decorating process and reduce downtime. You’ll maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow hygiene and food safety protocols at all times. You’ll work in a climate-controlled decorating studio with professional tools and a small team that values silence, skill, and clean execution.

Basic Qualifications:

• Repair minor flaws or damages on baked goods quickly and cleanly when needed.
• Take and review customer orders, confirming design expectations and any dietary restrictions.
• Collaborate with customers or team members to customize designs for events, themes, or special occasions.
• Track inventory of decorative supplies like sprinkles, food coloring, fondant, and toppers.
• Handle delicate materials like sugar flowers or sculpted chocolate with care and precision.

Preferred:

• Can work under time pressure during peak seasons or special event weekends.
• Can write legible messages on cakes and create sculpted or tiered designs with proper support.
• Knows how to adapt designs for dietary needs, such as gluten-free or vegan orders.
• Open to trying new decoration techniques, textures, or trends like mirror glaze, geode cakes, or airbrushing.
• Willing to prep elements in advance, such as flowers, toppers, or fondant accents, for efficiency.
