Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and accurate Transcriptionist to join our remote team and provide high-quality transcription services. You’ll be responsible for transcribing interviews, podcasts, meetings, and other audio content with high accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll work with a variety of file formats, using transcription software to enhance your workflow while ensuring high-quality output. You’ll ensure your transcriptions meet company standards, including accurate timestamps, speaker identification, and adherence to formatting guidelines. You’ll proofread and edit transcriptions to eliminate any errors, ensuring the final product is polished and precise. You’ll handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and adhere to confidentiality agreements. You’ll be expected to work independently and handle confidential information with care, adhering to confidentiality guidelines. You’ll collaborate with clients to ensure that transcriptions meet their needs and are delivered promptly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Continuously improve grammar, formatting, and typing skills to boost speed and polish.
• Ultimately, turn spoken content into clear, searchable, and accurate text that serves business, education, or accessibility goals.
• Stay focused during long sessions—transcription requires mental stamina and active listening.
• Use foot pedals, noise-canceling headphones, and other tools to improve efficiency and clarity when working with difficult audio.
• Communicate professionally with clients to confirm instructions, request extensions, or clarify unclear parts of recordings.

Preferred:

• Fast and accurate typing skills, ideally 60+ words per minute.
• Organized with file naming, time tracking, and delivery processes.
• Willing to research unclear terms, names, or references to ensure accurate transcription.
• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail when transcribing audio or video files.
• Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and accuracy.

You’ll follow client-specific guidelines closely, ensuring that all requirements and preferences are fully met for each transcription project.
