Description:

We’re hiring a Caregiver to provide compassionate support for clients in palliative or end-of-life care — ideal for someone who can offer calm, respectful presence during life’s most delicate moments. You’ll assist with daily routines such as dressing, hygiene, feeding, and transitions between activities, tailored to each child’s abilities and preferences. You’ll be trained to follow care plans that may include sensory support, behavioral cues, communication tools, and therapy exercises. You’ll support play, learning, and engagement through structured games, routines, or creative exploration depending on the child’s interests. You’ll help children navigate social interactions, emotional regulation, and frustration using calming techniques and praise. You’ll assist with mobility, lifting, or positioning as needed using safe transfer techniques and supportive equipment. You’ll collaborate with parents, therapists, and educators to maintain consistency and reinforce goals from home to school. You’ll monitor signs of fatigue, overstimulation, or discomfort, adapting the environment or pace as needed. You’ll assist with toileting, incontinence care, and hygiene needs discreetly and respectfully.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be reliable, punctual, and compassionate—someone families can trust and depend on.
• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Respond calmly and responsibly in emergencies, calling for help when necessary.
• Help with mobility—transferring, walking support, or wheelchair assistance.
• Respect the dignity, privacy, and independence of clients in all interactions.

Preferred:

• Background or passion in healthcare, elder care, disability support, or home assistance.
• Familiar with safe techniques for transferring, repositioning, and using mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs.
• Comfortable reminding clients to take medication and observing for changes in physical or emotional well-being.
• Thrives in nurturing, client-centered environments where patience and care make a real difference.
• Organized with tracking routines, monitoring behaviors, and documenting changes for healthcare providers or family members.
