Description:

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to help produce high-quality audio content for our podcast. You’ll be responsible for editing raw podcast recordings, ensuring they are clear, polished, and engaging for our audience. You’ll collaborate with hosts and producers to refine content, removing unnecessary elements and enhancing the storytelling. You’ll clean up audio files, remove background noise, and enhance sound quality to ensure professional-grade recordings. You’ll add music, sound effects, and transitions to bring each episode to life, enhancing the overall listening experience. You’ll ensure that each episode is formatted and edited to meet the technical requirements of podcast distribution platforms. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to incorporate feedback, ensuring that each episode aligns with the overall vision of the podcast. You’ll assist in preparing promotional clips or highlights to be shared on social media, increasing engagement with the audience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Ensure all content meets podcast platform guidelines (Apple, Spotify, etc.) and follows copyright best practices.
• Support multi-track editing, remote recordings, and interviews done via platforms like Riverside, SquadCast, or Zoom.
• Add intro/outro music, sponsor reads, transitions, and sound effects as needed to enhance the listening experience.
• Adjust editing based on guest dynamics, content type (interview vs. solo), and intended audience.
• Provide feedback on recording quality and offer tips to improve future audio (mic technique, room setup, etc.).

Preferred:

• Familiar with podcast publishing tools like Anchor, Libsyn, Buzzsprout, or RSS management.
• Experience editing podcast episodes using tools like Adobe Audition, Audacity, Descript, or Reaper.
• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Audio Editor, Podcast Producer, or Creative Director.
• Can add intro/outro music, transitions, sponsor messages, or sound effects as needed.
• Able to sync multi-track recordings and balance guest and host audio levels.
