Description:
We’re hiring a Cook who enjoys working in a small, close-knit kitchen — someone who’s flexible, friendly, and takes pride in turning simple ingredients into great meals. You’ll prep, cook, and plate breakfast, lunch, or brunch items depending on the shift, always keeping quality and consistency in mind. You’ll help prep simple ingredients like veggies, sauces, and batters, learning the basics as you go. You’ll handle grills, ovens, fryers, or pans confidently, making sure every order is cooked just right and delivered on time. You’ll respect every product — from the first chopped onion to the last garnish on the pass — because details matter. You’ll manage prep lists, portioning, and rotation with discipline and a good eye for quality control. You’ll be expected to stay cool under pressure, adapt to unexpected changes, and recover fast when mistakes happen. We’ll teach you how to set up a clean, organized station and how to break it down at the end of your shift. You’ll support the team by jumping in wherever needed — from slicing and dicing to washing and wiping.
Basic Qualifications:
- Handle kitchen equipment properly and report any malfunctions or hazards immediately.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before each shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including sanitizing surfaces and tools.
- Check freshness of ingredients and rotate stock to prevent spoilage or waste.
- Prepare meals according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
Preferred:
- Able to prepare ingredients, cook dishes to order, and plate food consistently and attractively.
- Open to early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts as needed.
- Knowledge of food handling standards, sanitation procedures, and HACCP guidelines.
- Able to clean and maintain kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment after service.
- Team-oriented and able to communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and management.
Benefits:
- Respectful leadership — no screaming chefs, just teamwork.
- Every dish is your canvas — and we notice the details.
- Breaks that actually happen — you’re human, not a machine.
- We fix broken equipment fast — no duct-tape solutions here.
- Staff discounts so you can bring your friends and show off your food.
You’ll follow the lead of the head chef or kitchen manager, and help keep communication open and respectful in a fast-moving space. You’ll take pride in turning fresh ingredients into consistent quality, dish after dish. You’ll gain a basic understanding of kitchen tools, equipment, and storage — nothing fancy, just real fundamentals. If you’re curious, hardworking, and can take feedback without taking it personally, you’ll fit in just fine. This role is ideal for someone who wants to master their craft, work hard, and be a reliable part of a strong kitchen team. You’ll be trained, supported, and encouraged to grow — whether your goal is steady work or a path to the line or lead cook role. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills in a high-volume kitchen, we’re here to help you grow. Let’s cook with purpose, prep with care, and feed people with real pride — one shift at a time.
