Description:

We’re hiring an Electrician for emergency service calls — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, solves problems fast, and keeps calm in unpredictable situations. You’ll read blueprints, technical diagrams, and wiring schematics to plan and execute safe, code-compliant installations. You’ll assess each situation on-site, identify the root cause, and make safe, temporary or permanent repairs depending on conditions. You’ll be responsible for installing conduit, cable trays, bus bars, and grounding systems according to safety codes. You’ll use a stocked service vehicle with tools, breakers, wire, PPE, and diagnostic equipment to work independently in the field. You’ll assist with wiring for new installations and system upgrades during plant expansions or shutdowns. You’ll follow strict safety procedures and know when to isolate power, shut off circuits, or call in backup for major hazards. You’ll work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in tight spaces, crawl areas, attics, or at height. You’ll coordinate with general contractors, HVAC techs, and plumbers on site to ensure smooth cross-trade workflow.

Basic Qualifications:

• Take pride in work that quite literally keeps the lights on—safely and reliably.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and circuit schematics accurately.
• Handle emergency service calls, power outages, or urgent repairs as needed.
• Maintain licensing and certifications as required by local and national regulations.
• Test completed installations for functionality and safety before powering up systems.

Preferred:

• Background or strong interest in electrical systems, building trades, or energy technology.
• Can provide accurate project estimates for labor, parts, and timeline based on job scope.
• Willing to stay updated with new technologies such as smart systems, solar energy, or energy-efficient lighting.
• Enjoys solving complex technical problems and bringing power systems to life.
• Able to identify and resolve electrical faults, overloads, and wiring issues efficiently and safely.

You’ll be trained to follow lockout/tagout procedures and adhere strictly to safety standards on every job. You’ll maintain detailed job logs, including materials used, hours worked, and issues found during service calls. You’ll log repairs, parts used, and time spent per task using building management software or ticketing platforms. You’ll rotate between projects, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs depending on plant demand. You’ll be expected to work professionally around staff, guests, or tenants — often while systems are live. You’ll mentor junior team members when needed, sharing your knowledge of troubleshooting, layouts, and safe practices. Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to train are welcome.
