Description:

We’re looking for a Cashier who knows that great service goes beyond scanning items — someone who brings patience, positivity, and professionalism to every transaction. You’ll greet each customer with a smile, process their purchases quickly and accurately, and thank them sincerely for their visit. You’ll operate the cash register, handle cash, cards, mobile payments, and give correct change with confidence and care. You’ll stay focused during busy rushes and keep your station clean, organized, and ready for the next guest. You’ll assist with returns and exchanges, following store policies and resolving issues calmly and fairly. You’ll follow all cash handling procedures and report discrepancies or issues promptly to your supervisor. You’ll help with price checks, returns, exchanges, and receipts, always keeping a calm and respectful tone. You’ll be part of a team that values communication, teamwork, and keeping lines moving efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. You’ll take part in opening and closing routines, counting drawers and preparing deposits when required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Promote loyalty programs, discounts, or upsells when appropriate without being pushy.
• Make every checkout feel smooth, respectful, and just a little bit personal.
• Stay alert to potential theft or suspicious activity and follow store protocols.
• Bag items neatly and efficiently while being mindful of product weight and safety.
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked with bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.

Preferred:

• Knows how to balance a till, count cash drawers, and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Comfortable standing for long shifts and working weekends, holidays, or closing hours.
• Familiar with safety and loss prevention procedures, including recognizing suspicious behavior.
• Familiar with basic customer service practices, upselling techniques, and store policies.
• Experience operating a cash register, POS system, or self-checkout station in a retail or food service environment.
