Description:
We’re accepting applicants for a Medical Laboratory Technician internship — ideal for someone who values structure, precision, and a methodical approach to learning. You may be just starting out, but we’ll treat you like a future professional from day one — with guidance, structure, and respect. From blood draws to slide preparation, from centrifuge to analyzer — you’ll know each step, and why it matters. You’ll process tests efficiently, but never at the expense of quality or precision. You’ll follow protocols to the letter, calibrate equipment daily, and document results with clinical discipline. You’ll be surrounded by professionals who value your effort and will help you grow into someone they can trust at any bench in the room. We’ll walk you through the use of analyzers, microscopes, centrifuges, and other essential tools — step by step, no pressure. You’ll get familiar with the importance of timing, temperature, labeling, documentation, and how small lapses can delay big decisions. You’ll learn to handle human error, avoid contamination, and recover with confidence when something doesn’t go as planned. You’ll begin to understand how lab values connect to patient symptoms, how flags are reviewed, and when results need a second check.
Basic Qualifications:
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient lab environment—properly disposing of waste and maintaining sterile workstations.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment including microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, and spectrophotometers to ensure accurate test results.
- Adhere to detailed protocols to avoid cross-contamination, specimen mislabeling, or diagnostic delays.
- Record and report test results accurately into laboratory information systems (LIS), ensuring timely delivery to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Respect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and institutional privacy policies when accessing or transmitting sensitive data.
Preferred:
- Understands how to handle biological specimens properly and follow chain-of-custody procedures.
- Comfortable with both manual techniques and automated systems.
- Comfortable working with lab information systems (LIS) and accurately recording test results.
- Can support inventory management and supply ordering to keep the lab fully stocked.
- Familiar with common clinical terminology, units of measurement, and normal value ranges.
Benefits:
- You’ll rotate through hematology, chemistry, microbiology, or your preferred area — variety with structure.
- Structured shifts that respect your focus and minimize distractions — because precision needs peace.
- Your consistency, clarity, and sterile technique are recognized, not taken for granted.
- You’ll work in a calm, respectful setting where science and care meet.
- You’ll collaborate with doctors, pathologists, nurses, and lab peers — your work is part of a wider care chain.
You’ll help maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure that nothing essential runs out when it matters most. You’ll support preparation of reagents, cleaning of equipment, and maintenance of lab cleanliness to minimize contamination risk. You’ll be evaluated not by what you know, but by how seriously you approach accuracy, hygiene, punctuality, and adherence to task instructions. You’ll grow into someone who others can count on — the one who quietly makes sure nothing is missed, spilled, mislabeled, or left incomplete. You’ll help keep the lab stocked, the workflow moving, and the results accurate. You’ll observe how interdisciplinary teams interact, and how lab results integrate with clinical workflows across departments. If you believe true healthcare starts in the lab, and you’re ready to own your role in it — we want you on our team. You’ll begin as an observer, but you’re expected to grow into a contributor — someone trusted to perform basic procedures to protocol. If you’re ready to build serious technical habits, work under strict standards, and grow in a professional medical lab setting — we’re ready to train you properly.
