Description:
We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who’s ready to jump into the fast-paced, high-volume world of agency content production. You’ll work on short-form videos — Instagram reels, TikToks, YouTube cutdowns, ads — and learn to edit fast, clean, and with purpose. You’ll work with our creative team to support real projects: short-form content, ads, reels, interviews, and brand edits. You’ll cut, trim, subtitle, reformat, resize, and occasionally breathe life into “meh” footage with sharp timing and music instinct. You’ll work with intro/outro templates, apply transitions, insert chapter markers, and align visuals with topic changes. You’ll help format talking-head clips, remix trending audios, and test which hooks actually work on real viewers. You’ll work closely with editors, content strategists, and designers — learning how voiceover, graphics, and pacing come together in final delivery. You’ll help prep social cutdowns from full episodes, pulling strong quotes or segments that work in 30–90 second formats. You’ll create multiple versions for different platforms — 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok, 1:1 for Instagram, you get the idea. You’ll keep files clean, exports optimized, and timelines organized — because chaos is not creative.
Basic Qualifications:
- Work with subtitles, captions, or translations to make videos accessible and globally adaptable.
- Stay up to date with new editing software, plugins, and video trends to enhance skillset and production value.
- Adapt to different creative styles—from fast-paced social clips to cinematic reels or corporate explainers.
- Collaborate with content creators, marketers, or creative directors to understand the vision and deliver according to brand style.
- Export final videos in various formats, aspect ratios, and resolutions depending on platform requirements (e.g., 16:9, 9:16, 1:1).
Preferred:
- Familiar with content planning tools, asset libraries, and cloud storage platforms like Google Drive or Dropbox.
- Familiar with exporting and compressing videos for web, social media, or broadcast use.
- Able to color correct, stabilize footage, and adjust sound levels for a professional result.
- Willing to suggest creative edits, cuts, or ideas to improve video flow and viewer retention.
- Understands storytelling, pacing, transitions, and audio syncing to create engaging content.
Benefits:
- Your edits will be published, shared, and seen — not lost in a folder.
- If you love storytelling through visuals, emotion through pacing, and clarity through composition — you’ll feel at home.
- You’ll help shape the voice and visual identity of our brand or clients — frame by frame.
- Async-first culture — work at your pace, get feedback clearly, and focus without constant meetings.
- You’re not “just editing” — you’re shaping attention, emotion, and message.
You can spot bad lighting, shaky shots, or awkward jump cuts a mile away — and you fix them without complaint. You’ll join internal reviews, listen to feedback on other editors’ work, and absorb what makes a cut engaging in the first 3 seconds. You’ll help monitor performance, take feedback fast, and keep learning what makes people stop scrolling. You’ll be part of brainstorms, suggest moments for highlights, and start noticing narrative arcs even in casual conversation. You’ll become faster, more organized, and more confident in your ability to take messy input and turn it into clean deliverables. You’ll gain deep focus, editing discipline, and pride in building episodes that people watch from start to finish. You’ll become fast — not sloppy fast, but deliberate fast, with clean cuts, smart pacing, and no wasted time. You’ll walk away with dozens of published clips and real proof that you can edit for attention, not just aesthetics. If you think in clips, hear beats in your head, and genuinely enjoy finding “the hook” — this internship was made for you.
