Description:

We’re looking for a dedicated and accurate Transcriptionist to join our remote team and provide high-quality transcription services. You’ll transcribe interviews, webinars, lectures, and other media, ensuring every word is captured with precision. You’ll ensure every transcription is clear, well-structured, and includes accurate timestamps, speaker identification, and necessary formatting. You’ll ensure that all transcriptions are clear, organized, and meet client requirements, including timestamps and special formatting requests. You’ll handle confidential and sensitive information, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion at all times. You’ll be working with diverse content, including legal, medical, and technical audio, requiring specialized knowledge for accuracy. Basic Qualifications:

• Support accessibility efforts by transcribing content for deaf or hard-of-hearing audiences.
• Use foot pedals, noise-canceling headphones, and other tools to improve efficiency and clarity when working with difficult audio.
• Communicate professionally with clients to confirm instructions, request extensions, or clarify unclear parts of recordings.
• Meet deadlines reliably, managing multiple transcription projects without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
• Deliver polished, final transcripts that are easy to read, navigate, and repurpose for clients.

Preferred:

• Familiar with confidentiality standards and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Excellent listening skills and attention to detail when transcribing audio or video files.
• Comfortable working with different types of content — interviews, podcasts, legal, medical, or academic.
• Thrives in focused, detail-oriented tasks that support research, content, or accessibility.
• Can accept feedback and revise transcripts based on reviewer comments or preferences.
