Description:

We’re looking for a detail-driven and resourceful Online Research Assistant to help gather, analyze, and organize information for key projects. You’ll conduct in-depth online research, compiling information from reliable sources and presenting it in an organized manner. Your role will involve reviewing articles, reports, databases, and other digital content to extract valuable data and insights. You’ll track and organize research findings, making sure key insights are easily accessible to the team. You’ll assist with compiling reports, summaries, and presentations based on your research to help inform decision-making. You’ll stay on top of industry trends and news, ensuring the team is aware of the latest developments in relevant fields. You’ll ensure all research materials are accurate, credible, and up-to-date by carefully verifying sources and facts. You’ll work across a variety of industries and topics, developing expertise in each area to support our diverse needs. You’ll track progress on ongoing research projects, ensuring all tasks are completed by deadlines and according to specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep backups of your work and links in case pages change or disappear later.
• Stay organized using folders, naming conventions, and version control so no data gets lost or duplicated.
• Document your sources properly, including date, author, and link, to support transparency and credibility.
• Spot patterns and synthesize insights—not just copy-paste links, but connect the dots where possible.
• Ask clarifying questions when a research request is vague or overly broad—better to narrow the scope than waste time.

Preferred:

• Able to evaluate the reliability of websites, articles, and statistics before citing them.
• Knows how to fact-check and cross-verify from multiple sources before sharing conclusions.
• Knows how to spot biases or inconsistencies in sources or information.
• Can track changes, update files, and keep research organized for collaborative teams.
• Familiar with tools like Google Docs, Notion, Airtable, or Excel for tracking data.
