Description:

We’re looking for a YouTube Shorts Manager who’s equal parts strategist, editor, and trend-chaser. You won’t just be posting random clips — you’ll be building a strategy, creating content, and managing the full life cycle of YouTube Shorts that actually perform. In this role, you’ll lead the charge on all things Shorts — from planning and scripting to editing and optimizing. You’ll need a deep understanding of what works in vertical video, especially within YouTube’s algorithm and audience behavior. Whether you're repurposing long-form content or crafting original Shorts from scratch, your job is to make it addictive, shareable, and on-brand. Your workflow needs to be fast and flexible, because timing is everything in the world of Shorts. You’ll be analyzing performance, experimenting with new styles, and iterating constantly to see what works.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep up with YouTube algorithm updates, especially around Shorts discoverability.
• Analyze audience demographics and adjust style or pacing to match what's resonating.
• Engage with comments and community feedback to inform future content direction.
• Maintain a consistent upload schedule and ensure every video aligns with the brand’s tone and content pillars.
• Develop video templates and editing frameworks that make production smoother and faster over time.

Preferred:

• Experience writing compelling titles, descriptions, and choosing strong thumbnails when needed.
• Comfortable working on a tight schedule and delivering content quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Follows successful Shorts creators to stay on top of trends, challenges, and pacing techniques.
• Understands how to repurpose long-form YouTube content into Shorts.
• Knows how to craft effective hooks in the first 3 seconds to boost viewer retention.
