Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll be dispatched to homes, businesses, and vehicles at all hours to assist clients who are locked out, locked in, or facing security breaches. You’ll remove old hardware, prepare doors and frames, and ensure seamless installation of new digital access products. You’ll cut and program transponder keys, key fobs, remote start systems, and push-to-start units using diagnostic equipment. You’ll troubleshoot connection issues, app pairing problems, and battery-related concerns both during and after installation. You’ll be trained in programming codes, setting user permissions, and integrating locks with other smart home ecosystems. You’ll maintain your service vehicle with all tools, blanks, lubricants, and hardware needed for a variety of jobs. You’ll log each visit, record work done, track parts used, and issue invoices or payment receipts onsite. You’ll work independently, managing your daily route and calls through a dispatch app or company phone.

Basic Qualifications:

• Train apprentices or junior locksmiths in proper techniques and industry ethics.
• Create master key systems or restricted access setups for commercial clients.
• Diagnose issues with lock mechanisms, cylinders, or access systems and perform necessary repairs.
• Coordinate with property managers, police, or building contractors on complex lock systems.
• Install, repair, and replace locks on doors, windows, safes, and security systems.

Preferred:

• Enjoys working with their hands, solving puzzles, and restoring access or peace of mind.
• Pays strong attention to detail when working with small mechanisms, security pins, and precision tools.
• Proficient in key cutting, lock rekeying, and duplicating using manual or automated machines.
• Values integrity, patience, and problem-solving in helping clients secure their property.
• Open to working on-site in private homes, offices, schools, banks, or vehicle lock systems.

You’ll drive a service vehicle equipped with modern tools, digital hardware, and support gear for smart installs. You’ll coordinate with IT or security vendors when working on smart locks or network-connected entry systems. You’ll help educate clients on stronger lock options, safety tips, and how to avoid future emergencies. You’ll receive support from a central operations team that helps with routing, call screening, and technical support if needed. You’ll assist in system resets, code recoveries, and lockouts caused by user error or app malfunctions. You’ll be expected to keep a clean appearance and conduct yourself professionally in front of tenants, guests, or business clients. Previous locksmith or hardware experience is a plus — but we’re also ready to train quick learners with strong mechanical aptitude.
