Description:
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our team and help improve the quality of our games. You’ll be responsible for testing game features, gameplay mechanics, and other elements to identify issues that affect player experience. You’ll play through levels, story modes, multiplayer features, and other in-game elements to find bugs, crashes, and performance issues. You’ll ensure that the game runs smoothly across various platforms, ensuring compatibility and a consistent user experience. You’ll be tasked with playing games across multiple platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance consistency across devices. You’ll be tasked with verifying fixes and updates, making sure new features are working correctly and do not introduce new problems. You’ll help test new features, patches, and updates, ensuring all changes work properly and do not cause new issues. You’ll identify and track issues related to crashes, freezes, and other serious bugs that disrupt gameplay.
Basic Qualifications:
- Perform regression testing after patches or updates to ensure old bugs haven’t returned and new ones haven’t been introduced.
- Play games from a user-first mindset, but test like a detective—curious, methodical, and thorough.
- Be flexible and ready to test different genres, mechanics, or platforms depending on the project.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback on game mechanics, UI clarity, and player experience, especially during alpha or beta phases.
- Assist with usability and accessibility testing to ensure the game is playable by a wide range of users.
Preferred:
- Willing to test the same scenario repeatedly to confirm bug fixes and consistency.
- Comfortable with alpha, beta, or pre-release versions that may be unstable.
- Can differentiate between minor annoyances and game-breaking issues.
- Able to play for long periods with focus and provide constructive feedback.
- Thrives in a collaborative, detail-driven, and deadline-oriented environment.
Benefits:
- We celebrate curiosity, precision, and a healthy obsession with getting things right.
- We support your learning — from bug tracking mastery to performance benchmarking.
- If you’ve ever said “I found a bug” mid-game and wrote a paragraph about it — this is your dream job.
- Your work prevents bugs from going live — and that makes millions of players happier.
- If you love gaming, notice every weird animation, and enjoy writing “how to break this” — you’re built for this.
You’ll provide feedback on game difficulty, pacing, and balance, helping to refine gameplay for an optimal experience. You’ll assist in testing multiplayer modes, ensuring connectivity, matchmaking, and overall performance for all players. You’ll collaborate with other testers and the development team to prioritize and address critical bugs based on severity. You’ll work closely with designers, developers, and product managers to help refine the game and enhance the overall experience. You’ll participate in user acceptance testing, ensuring the game’s final product aligns with the expectations of its target audience. You’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends, gaming technologies, and testing best practices to continuously improve the testing process. This remote role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from home while contributing to the development of top-tier games. If you’re passionate about gaming, problem-solving, and ensuring that games are ready for release, we’d love to have you on our team.
